Join us for a parent education session designed to help families better understand the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the special education process.

This session will provide a broad overview of IEP components and the IEP process to help parents feel informed and confident. Information will be shared by the AASD Special Education (SPED) Administration.

The Appleton Area School District (AASD) is hosting an Educator Recruitment Event on Saturday, February 21, from 9:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Sandy Slope Elementary School (2625 E. Edgewood Drive, Appleton) for 2026-27 school year positions. 

The AASD is seeking educators who are committed to student success. If you are a recent college graduate, an experienced educator, or a non-traditional educator, looking to join an innovative district for the 2026-27 school year, you are encouraged to attend!  Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with school leaders, preview upcoming openings, and learn more about the comprehensive benefits and professional opportunities available within AASD.

While this event is primarily focused on educators, we encourage all interested individuals, including those seeking support staff positions, to attend and learn more about career opportunities within the Appleton Area School District. 

Anticipated vacancies for the 2026-2027 school year are at all levels and in the areas of:

• Paraprofessionals
• Deaf/Hard of Hearing Interpreters
• English Language Learner Interpreters
