Emily Behnke

Emily Behnke began her career in education in 1998 after graduating from UW-Oshkosh. She had the privilege of being a Spanish teacher for twenty years, serving students in the Menasha Joint School District and Kimberly Area School District. She earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. Prior to joining the Janet Berry school family in 2021, she was honored to serve as the principal at Jefferson and Nicolet Elementary Schools in Menasha.

Mrs. Behnke grew up in southern Wisconsin but has loved living in the Fox Valley since graduating from college. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and many pets (2 dogs, 3 cats, and a fish). Her children both attended Janet Berry Elementary, James Madison Middle School and recently graduated from Appleton East High School. She has thoroughly enjoyed watching her kids grow up playing club and high school soccer and will continue to support her daughter who will play soccer in college.

In her free time, Mrs. Behnke enjoys spending time with family, running, walking her dogs, and singing for weddings.
